Iwona Liegmann graduated in 1993 from the painting unit of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, her diploma was supervised by Prof. Zygmunt Kotlarczyk. In 1995-96 she completed postgraduate studies in Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen (scholarship awarded by the British Council). She had solo exhibitions in Toruń, Piła, Wrocław, Sandomierz, Legnica, Warsaw and Essen in Germany and took part in numerous group exhibitions. In 2005 she was awarded the Polish Ministry of Culture Scholarship and the Toruń President Scholarship for the project "Mummy Mami". This year, she is the winner of the Stellwerk Zollverein e.V. scholarship competition. http://www.stellwerk-zollverein.de |
